Sexuality and kink carry a long history of expression through the materiality of silk and leather; matter drawn from the bodies of other beings. The performance explores the erotic and violent vitality of these materials, and the reciprocal act of sacrifice they seem to demand from one’s own body.

Performed in collaboration with artist Slekke, the work unfolded around a central, knotted, worm-like chimera composed of silk, leather and hair, suspended from slaughter hooks by silk ties. Dressed in silk and leather, the artists drooled continuously into individual vessels for twenty minutes, after inviting the audience to contribute their own saliva. The performance culminated in feeding the collective fluid to the chimera.
