More Christies: Before the art ball I came across Aaron Smiths work which I really truly loved. I am a sucker for historical dress and I am pretty much fanatical about colour… So when it came to dressing a young, energetic and all around lovely person like Robert Sheffield  for the ball the only inspiration could be  painter Aaron Smith’s “Prince” (above).

Website to the artist linked above, and you can also find him on tumblr

I recently designed the costumes for the Adventure in Wonderland Ball held by the Reuben Foundation to raise money for London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital. An outside marquee was transformed into a magical wonderland forest, we made the waiters into card soldiers, the Hatter had a teaparty and the Cheshire Cat jumped from peoples plates and up to the giant suspended moon thanks to Shaun over at Prickimage. Guests included Joan Collins, Eliza Doolittle, Zaha Hadid, James Blunt and Princess Beatrice amongst others.
