Slowly winding down after a realy busy autumn and finally ready to update this pretty neglected Tumblr. So lets start with one of the best memories from the year workwise…
Christie and Tatler’s Summer Art Ball 2014
I was the costume designer at Immersive Cults super crazy immersive party for Christies and Tatler held at Christies auction houses…and by that I mean IN THE ACTUAL GALLERIES, next to all the beautiful artworks of their masterpiece collection! It was truly a great experience and a great show and party to be a part of.
Guests came dressed as artworks and immediately assessed and processed by our fake christies art experts and catalogued (photographed!) After a short ride in the industrial lift normally used to transport artworks to the galleries they arrived in the middle of the dancefloor mingling with our Magritte waiters and our performers
Here’s a few pics of our performers… Christies employees, Klimt’s Judith, Myrons “Discobolus”, Picassos “Wheeping Woman”, Delvaux’ “Sleeping Venus”, Bacon’s “Study after Velasquez’s Portrait of Pope Innocent”, Bourgeois’ “The couple” (well one of them…he was searching for his other half throughout the party), Frida Khalo, Hirst’s “For The Love Of God" and last but not least our Magritte themed waiters.
Thanks to Tatlers own photographer and Eleonora Checcini for the photos.
(Phew! That was one, crazy week)
